Special Weather Statement issued June 7 at 3:25PM EDT by NWS Boston/Norton MA Visibility has dropped to 1/4SM on Nantucket in persistent dense fog. Fog is expected to persist until winds shift to the south later tonight behind a weak frontal passage. It is possible that this SPS will need to be expanded or a Dense Fog Advisory will need to be issued as fog develops across a more widespread area, including the Cape and Martha's Vineyard, later this evening.
